Nowadays, the burning of fossil fuels creates a large amount of greenhouse gas emissions which causes climate change. Because of climate change, extreme weather, such as blizzard, hurricanes, floods and droughts, occurs more often around the world. Climate change also causes the collapse of glaciers, the sea rising sea level, grain reduction and species extinction. There are some effective ways to curb global warming trends such as saving energy, reducing emission, abandoning fossil fuels, using renewable energy, improving energy efficiency, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and protecting forests; using these methods and their effects, a solution can be designed to address climate change. This essay will argue that climate change not only affects the environment, but also has strong impacts on public health and animals living environment.

Natural ecosystem are vulnerable to irreversible damage due to their inability to adapt quickly. “Environments that are facing such hazards include glaciers, coral reefs, mangroves, tropical rain forests, polar and alpine ecosystems, grassland wetlands, residual natural grasslands and coastal ecosystems” (BaiDuWenKu). Taking the Arctic as an example, the research shows that, in Beaufort Sea, above Alaska and Canada’s YuKon and Northwest Territories, the sea-ice loss has been particularly obvious with an increase of approximately 50 watts per square meters(Mason). With the increasing frequency and extent of climate change, the number of destroyed natural ecosystems will increase and the geographical scale will increase as well. Research shows that, the increasing temperature cause the average rate of the melting ice cover in Arctic continues to break the record(Mason). We can see the changes caused by climate change from melting ice and warm weather to new shipping lanes and struggling polar bears (Mason). President Obama said, “Shrinking ice caps forced National Geographic to make the biggest change in its atlas since the Soviet Union broke apart” (Mason). Climate change not only effect on the ice in Arctic, but also has a big impact on the ecosystem in Arctic, such as polar bears and forest (Mason). Melting ice have a big impact on causing the rising sea level, and if we cannot effective control the ice in Arctic keep melting, the world will be destroyed by the sea level rising.

“One could argue that about 75 percent of the warmth was due to human impact”, Dr. Mann said(Patel). Climate change like global warming will certainly have effect on the human living habitant, especially who live in the river basin or coastal lowland. The most immediate threat is flood and Landslides. Human will be facing a storage of water and energy. Waste disposal and Transportation will be increasing because of high temperature and rainy.

Undeniably, the place most obviously affected by climate change is the Arctic, and animals in Antarctic, such as the emperor penguin, are also threatened by climate change. Polar region areas are not the only area facing climate change. Because of the rising temperatures, lots of animals leave their forests. Such was the case with the American pika moving southward, and the American wolverine trying to find an environment with less ice (Global Warming and Life on Earth).

Climate change results in the rising of sea level from 1979 to 2016 (NASA), because of the increasing temperature. Polar bears are losing their habitat day by day. Hundreds and thousands of polar bears starving for the reason of the reducing of predator areas. If the Arctic ice land continues to melt in current speed, we may not only lose these species, but also our coastal cities. Polar bears long time been the darlings of the advertisement of climate change. But scientists claim that we should not just focus on the representative species, those who are more sensitive to the change of temperature are in more dangerous situation, such as migrating birds and some reptiles like golden toad.

Another kind of creature that is sensitive to the temperature is coral reefs. A research has showed that the temperature of ocean has risen it by more than I degree Fahrenheit during that last century. The rising sounds acceptable for human being but not for the fragile ecosystems of coral reefs. Because of the change of temperature in recent years, coral reefs, have been bleaching and dying off in a large amount. A large area of coral reefs has already died off the coast of St. Martin’s Island in Bangladesh and never will them come to live again.

Climate change leads to increasing temperature, precipitation changes, and some extreme weather which affects our health by influencing what we eat, what we drink, and the quality of air we breathe, the weather will threaten our health (Climate change on Human Health). The spread in factious diseases may increase, such as malaria and dengue fever. Increased disease and mortality are associated with high temperature.

It’s important to understand that there are many ways that climate change affects our health. For example, many people died because of the heat waves in 2016, and the frequency and strength of such heat may get stronger with time going by. The most frightening fact is that the risk of disasters can change the distribution of diseases. The extreme weather such as floods and droughts will bring opportunities of the spread of diseases. As we can see in the media, the health situation is worst in the extreme poor countries with large population.

In additional, more terrible than the disease are these unknown ancient viruses. All kinds of ancient virus could be defrosting as the world warms. The department of health has already been aware of virus coming back. What’ s more. Those animals that can spread virus between human being can live well with the goal warming. “By the end of the 21st century, the climate condition suitable for as. Albopictus will exist to cover roughly one-half of the land area in the northeastern USA. More than 30 million people especially, especially those in urbanized environments will reside within it range, and will be potentially subjected to high biting populations of this species and impending arbovirus threats” (Ninivaggi etal ). The most important things that make ancient viruses more serious is these are unknown viruses, if these ancient viruses extensive diffuse in the world，the consequences could be disastrous.

Some scientists argue that, in spite of, so many negative influences on the environment and human health, climate change has brought some benefits for people. For example, it creates more jobs to decrease the unemployment rate, its enhance the world to work on green renewable energy technologies and it has made human beings focus on the endangered animals. A comprehensive method produces a wide range of solutions to reduce health risks caused by social, demographic and economic changes. To slow down the speed of global warming, we take methods such as reducing the cost of nonrenewable fossil fuels but the use of green energy lime wind and nuclear, improving the technologies to get clean energy effectively, so that we could be exposed to a less air pollution environment.

Climate change negatively effects the world. First, we are losing our biological diversity because of greenhouse gas that have released to the atmosphere. The greenhouse gas emissions generated by human activity has already done harm to the environment where we are living in. What we are doing now is to solve the problems caused by ourselves. As intelligent creatures of the earth, what we should do is taking precautions rather than remedy. Unfortunately, we are too late to pay attention to the environment. Secondly, “rapid globalization has brought new, large-scale influences to bear on patterns of human health. Various global-scale change are linked to the increased prevalence of obesity, changes health disparities” (Me Michael). Climate change is a kind of method to solve the problem caused by population overloaded, and we are here to say the change can bring us benefits, reducing the unemployment rate, which is ridiculous. That’s is not what climate changing brings us, the fact is the work opportunities appear when our benefits are threatened.

Last but not least, we are not saving earth, we are saving ourselves. The earth does not need be saved, before the existence of human, it already has survived from all kinds of climate change. We cannot survive from extreme weather is just species are both strongly related to each individual benefit. The return of ancient virus, the threat of our life force human begins to do something to stop global warming. We should take it in mind that measures must be taken to improve the environment.

Human have slowly destroyed the earth in industrial construction, but human also have ability to protect the earth. First of all, we should have a certain understanding of global warming. The education of global warning to the public is the very first step to begin with. For individual, if you know causes and origins of the climate change, you are more inclined to make some changes on your own life. Politically, if you can handle the related knowledge, you can encourage others to make some differences just like you. Also, the best way to expand your influence is to unite the power of others. If you have more scientific facts and evidences to support your behaviors, you can more easily persuade others to do same, but simple effective behaviors in their daily life. Energy-saving technologies are often expensive at the beginning, such as using of solar and wind, or need lots of time, such as resource recycling. Therefore, it is necessary to make people believe that their efforts in anti-global warming are not in vain.

Secondly, individuals must change consumption habits. Reuse, not to buy a new jar or bottle every time. This can reduce your consumption and is usually cheaper. Also, choose vegetarian recipes. Compared to transportation, livestock is the equal important reason for greenhouse gas emission. The choice of vegetarian food can not only significantly reduce the use of agricultural water and farming land, but also is conducive to biological diversity. Of course, there are many other ways to help improve our living environment such as green travel and daily energy saving. If you are truly want to make some difference, there are many things you can do in your daily life. Small actions of all individual human begin can make significant changes to the climate change and to the world.

In conclusion, climate change cause profound changes in the ecosystem of earth. Significant differences and perturbations have been established between human and eco-environment systems, so the global change, especially climate change, has greatly attracted the attention of authorities and the public. Global climate change is not only a matter of science or environment topic, but also involves energy, the economy and political “It isn’t climate change itself that threatens humanity, it is the potential rate change” (Rhrlich). Finally, climate change crisis is caused by human consumption of natural resources. Therefore, to fundamentally and totally solve the crisis of the climate change, not only the global organizations and countries should draw up sustainable development plan, but also people’s attitude towards the climate change and their lifestyle must be transformed. This requires each of us to start from the side, and stating from bit by bit. To solve global warming, we cannot work alone, but individual can do some positive changes so that make environmental awareness a personal choice to encourage others to take actions as well.
