Fatness is one of the serious problems that has a terrible effect on our health. At present, the situation among teenagers is worse than ever before. Obesity is merely an excess of body fat. It is very unhealthy and can cause many diseases, including heart problems. People must consume a reasonable amount of calories each day, and exercise is the key to a healthier body. People become obese for many reasons. These reasons can be divided into three parts. Excessive calorie intake, especially a high-fat diet is the primary cause of obesity. Third, if people don't have the proper habits in their life, they would be obese. If someone is overeating their daily calorie intake, and their amount of exercise is less than the excess calories needed to change into fat storage, the person will gain weight. Additionally, if people do not have enough sleep, they will be fat too. Lack of sleep will hinder the body’s metabolism of carbohydrates, resulting in increased blood glucose levels and increased insulin concentration in the body, leading to the body to store more fat. For students, they cannot do well in Physical classes, and it will influence their life in school such as the chair may be too small. As it applies to mental health, obesity can cause increased stress, leading to psychological problems such as depression, self-confidence and interpersonal barriers. Obese people often lack self-confidence and cannot do some work well. People need to change their eating habits.
