Have the fights on illegal immigration and the drug cartels involved, lately, had much effect on the overall standards of illegal trafficking in the US? This is an important question in the United States right now. If you turn on a debate or a show about politics, the odds are in your favor top year this topic discussed. The presidential debate always includes the topic of immigration, and I personally feel as though immigration is truly one of our more touching topics. It can be tough to discuss due to racial sensitivity and the vast amount of Americans who come from immigrant homes. The moral and political debates on immigration have little effect on my life. However, my views of immigration have everything to do with how I look at the rest of the world, specifically those who have come from across the southern border of the US to start their lives here. This has made me more sensitive to those effected by our borders. I have met people who did whatever it took to get into the States, and they had their own reasons for why. They never spoke a word of regret. These people always prided themselves in the fact that their better life is in America. I find that my own personal qualification comes from my right to knowledge and my obligation as an American citizen to stay informed on a topic that can have so much effect on our nation and presidential debate. The effects of immigration are a hot topic currently.

By way of three separate sources, I was able to find more information on the topics at hand. In a blog post by "The Wall Street Journal", it tells the reader that that a number of jobs are taken from the lower income Americans and then used to provide illegal immigrants the same lower wage/ less qualification jobs for less. They used censuses to help identify a specify on each grouping. This is actually quite the post on the WSJ, it can effect so many different people with so many different backgrounds. This article is the lower income Americans way of asking for help and the media letting them not go unnoticed. This article has a lot of American bias against the low income workers from Mexico. Along with this article, is an article discussing California's new license policies. They are now allowing illegal immigrants the right to a drivers license in the state of California. California does welcome these people, just hopes for a president that can reflect California's mixed ethnic culture. It was the largest number of IDs printed annually ever, but California is still a lead in acceptance of immigrants in the US. This article seems to be very neutral and informative. Lastly, the increase in immigration leads to an increase in reliability on public health and education. These systems are at an all time high level, in the border states, due to the large amount of children in the public school systems. The average public school in Texas has roughly 200 illegal and legal immigrants. The parents of both sides of the argument worry for their children, American students want the best education, while immigrant students want and deserve their education as well. This article effectively argues both sides and has little bias unique to any specific part of the argument. These articles all do a good job of informing the reader on the topic.

Is the landscape of illegal immigration in the US changing? Yes, the illegal immigrants are changing, the borders are changing, and their interactions are beginning to differ. Many say that, the major rise in drug cartels are a reason for a surge in immigration, however immigration is down a lot in the last decade. The drug cartel has spiked immigrations from South America, but border violence in Mexico has helped lower illegal Mexican immigration. This argument has many angles to it, and many different ways of approaching it, but it can be well argued. There is a mass amount of variety in the discussion of immigration, people have so many different opinions based on political preference, region of the US, and upbringing. Most articles agree that the population surge in the south has come from immigration, not every article has agreement on the government's strains by the flux in immigration. I myself, am a independent thinker but a conservative voter. This research has helped me accept latino immigrants and other immigrants better because I have lea bred what people go through just to be able to have a chance at my life. It is a beautiful thing to think that my life is a dream to someone, but to many immigrants, they would love to have a chance at life like me. I need to find more information on more specific topics. Hopefully, this will inspire my exergence to be more specific.
