Financial status can lead to heavy amounts of stress and anxiety amongst ourselves, which is why advertisements like SunTrust's Hold Your Breath have the perfect opportunity to take advantage of us. When we start to feel insecure and vulnerable economically we are easily persuaded by products or services that can pull us out of our struggle. As we are sitting on the couch relaxing watching the Super Bowl we do not expect to feel the weight of anxiety but immediately, our entire mood changes as a commercial comes on and reminds us of our financial struggles How could an advertisement for something as ordinary as a bank make us feel so upset and longing for its service? Because of our recognition and capability of familiarizing with SunTrust's well-known brand name we trust it and therefore we are more bound to being persuaded through facts and emotions by the argument that Hold Your Breath makes.

Throughout the entire commercial the video tries to evoke emotional feelings out of its viewers that make us feel like we can't live without its service. At the start of the commercial feelings of panic and anxiety go through our bodies as the narrator keeps telling us to hold our breath and then tells us we feel like we are drowning. There is a fast-paced tic-toc noise sounding like a clock that adds to the anxious feelings we are experiencing. We are then reassured that this is how a million other Americans are feeling because of financial stress. The Ad features shots with tones of sadness, for instance, an old woman starring outside of a window looking very depressed and a person in a phone booth late at night. This advertisement grabs our attention and awakens our emotions as it brings us to the milestones we have cherished most in life, like having a child and attending prom but then quickly tells us that without their financial guidance these things will slip away. From this threat or idea of not being able to cherish these moments a feeling of need for this service fosters within us. We now feel like we cannot live without SunTrust Bank's support. Like any other commercial, you expect to hear cheerful upbeat music in the background but there is more of a silence to this video. The emptiness left without music makes the viewer really focus on the words being spoken, which makes us feel the emptiness we hear in the clip.

SunTrust has a great deal of credibility when making claims or creating commercials like Hold Your Breath because of its popularity. This brand has enough reliability even much so that it did not even mention much about banking but rather its effects on us. This brand is well known because of how long it has been in service and its prominent presence on social media since we can remember. All the company had to do was create a commercial that made us feel and at the very end, display its name. The professionalism of this video overall with its high visual quality and its clear sound makes it easy for us to believe the message is of that same great quality. Most likely when commercials are of bad quality we are not going to trust what is being said in the video therefore we probably will not spend money or time on that service or product. By having a link to their movement's website on the last shot of the commercial shows that SunTrust has the resources to power their own website.

Throughout the video, SunTrust uses techniques and evidence in order to back up its claim that we lose what's most important to us without its financial support by showing clips that represent sadness. By the monotone voice of the man performing the voiceover the overall mood of this Ad feels serious. When the man says both," Join the movement" and "What you're feeling now is just like the financial stress that millions of us feel" the advertisement solidifies and proves the argument that many other Americans are feeling the same financial stress as the viewers. By stating that this strive to relieve financial stress has become a movement that millions have joined, more people want to join it since we are swayed into doing things when many others are doing so. Logos can also be identified throughout the whole argument metaphorically. The metaphor here is represented when its stated, "SunTrust is about to help America catch its breath" and serves as the turning point of the video when only happy and excited times are shown. The metaphor is that SunTrust banks are the essential to breathing and living your life but then without it you cannot.

The Super Bowl commercials are always an exciting attraction to the Super Bowl are usually humorous in grabbing our attention and appealing to our emotions but SunTrust's Hold Your Breath was a bit different. This advertisement created by a banking company had pathos ethos and logos. In order to emotionally invest ourselves in this commercial we had to feel the sadness that it portrayed by its use of shots. This video did a very effective job at making us feel the financial stress in which it was describing which made us want SunTrust's service. For credibility this video was very convincing because of its trustworthiness from its familiar brand name. As for this commercial's use of evidence and proof it backed its argument up well by explaining that everyone else felt the way the video made us feel to and through the use of a metaphor. Overall, Hold Your Breath's emotional approach at advertising paid off and was a really well done video.
