The Hyundai Genesis' Super Bowl 50 commercial consist of a date between a young man and a young lady with an overprotective father. The father, Kevin Hart, allows his daughter's date to drive his car because the new Hyundai Genesis has a tracking feature that he has installed on his phone, and he wants to keep track of them on their date. Throughout the date, Kevin Hart followed the couple from the movies, to the fair, then to their favorite spot to keep an eye on his daughter's date. The main goal of the commercial is to persuade fathers to buy the 2016 Hyundai Genesis with the appeal of a father daughter relationship, and convince other people to buy their product through humor.

In the commercial there is obvious pathos because of the scenario created. Every father is very protective over their little girl, and will do anything to protect from danger. They hate to see them grow up, but when they do, and they begin to become interested in dating, fathers tend to want to get to know the guy who will be with his sacred daughter. Kevin Hart played the part of a typical overprotective father perfectly, and the Hyundai Genesis was his way of keeping up with his daughter and her boyfriend during the date. He also demonstrates the test that fathers usually put guys against when they're with their daughter by trying to intimidate the young man, and discourage him from trying to make any quick moves on his daughter. All of these aspects of the commercial were played really well to make the father daughter relationship evident, and convince fathers and other people that it is a necessity to buy their product.

Kevin Hart is one of the funniest comedians in the world, so of course he creates an obvious sense of humor. While he's following them on their date he discourages his daughter's boyfriend from making any moves in a humorous yet serious way. He plays it all cool in the beginning of the commercial to lure her boyfriend into getting comfortable then he pops up everywhere he tries to go, and the boyfriend is clueless as to how Kevin Hart keeps finding them. Kevin Hart's attitude and humor keeps the viewer's attention throughout the commercial, and he demonstrates the tracking device system very well.

Choosing Kevin Hart as the father in the commercial was a good decision because it creates ethos or credibility. He is a well-known comedian, and he is also a father of 2 children. Kevin Hart has many supporters, so if his supporters see that he supports the sedan, they will want to buy the car as well, which relates to celebrity testimonial. Also the Hyundai Genesis has a good reputation as a luxury sedan, and it is affordable for most people in the middle class. Certain aspects or features from the new Hyundai Genesis make it reliable for safety such as, a tracking device, automatic braking, and an advance air bag system. The sedan was also ranked first IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety) top safety pick, which has a great influence on the people, who are looking for a car with great safety for themselves and their family.

The logos was just well put together throughout the entire commercial by producing a relatable situation for the viewer to understand and connect to. The Genesis is portrayed as a man's car because it starts out with Kevin Hart, the father and owner of the car, and lending it to his daughter's boyfriend to drive them to their locations, so it is obvious that the commercial gives the idea that the sedan is a man's car. Logos also relates back to the father daughter relationship, and brings out other roles in the commercial such as, being a boyfriend and getting approval from your girlfriend's father. Also the role of being a daughter with an overprotective father, and trying to get a guy that your father will approve of and not interfere with.

Hyundai has many propaganda techniques in their commercial, including loaded words, glittering generalities, and celebrity testimonials. Kevin Hart is the obvious celebrity testimonial because he is the main character in the commercial, and he shows support in the sedan because of the new tracking system to keep watch over his daughter and her boyfriend. Glittering generalities is the father daughter relationship demonstrated in the commercial, and it is used to create an obvious compassion a father has toward looking out for his daughter. Loaded words such as love, are implied because Kevin Hart calls his daughter his baby girl which is the reason why he is so protective, and doesn't want his daughter to be harmed in any way, whether it be physically or emotionally.

The 2016 Hyundai Genesis does a really good job producing a commercial that demonstrates the new tracking feature installed in the sedan. Also portraying a father daughter relationship gives the commercial an emotional appeal, and convinces fathers and others that the Genesis is safe and well protected from robbery in most cases. Kevin Hart always creates a sense of humor in everything he does, and placing that with the scenario creates mixed emotions in the viewer through the commercial. By having these mixed emotions and the scenario combination, Hyundai is able to organize a commercial that successfully reels the viewer into wanting their product, which is the goal of every company when making advertisements to support an increase in sales.
