Throughout my school career, I studied many different takes on environmental science, whether it be an AP Environmental Science course or other smaller articles discussed in English and History classes highlighting main causes of global warming. With technology advancing at such a high rate in the recent years, we are slowly noticing more trends of increasing temperatures around the world. Through researching this topic, I hope to find information about this topic, which can help point to more sustainable methods that are available throughout the world. Being an Environmental Science major, and hoping to one day being able to teach a younger generation about how they can save the world, I hope that through this research topic I can find other information leading to even more options on how we as a community can live greener and promote sustainability in our lives, as well as around this university as a whole. This topic interests me very much, which may lead to some kind of bias being formed throughout my essay. As I stated before, however, I studied topics relating to this one throughout high school and feel as if I have a general idea of what issues surround us with global warming and protecting the environment.

Jenny Chen, the author, is a science writer, which could produce a slight bias towards this piece. With the increase of technology being used across the globe, carbon levels, as well as many other chemicals, are at an all time high in our atmosphere. Carbon levels have risen to a breaking point where the atmosphere composition is at dangerous numbers in certain areas around the world. Kieran Suckling, who is the Executive Director of the Center for Biological Diversity, wants a recent study to be shown to politicians and people alike so that everyone can learn just how far along we are in destroying our world. This article was written to try to persuade other people around the world that we must work together and conserve the goods that we have, otherwise there will be a huge environmental issue burdened onto our future generations. However, the author's bias makes her credible since she is known for her writing on environmental issues around the world and her promotion of conservation efforts that we can do around the world.

Jane Goodall, the author of this article, created the Jane Goodall Institute, which works to help protect chimpanzee populations in Tanzania, which allows her a large amount of credibility towards the information written about in her article.

Through her author's life, she has seen so many different things happen. While flying from Tanzania, she notices the frequency of the use of technology surrounding her. Many new forms of technology are seen as the savior of different species around the world, as well as the environment as a whole. Although many different people may see it as a way of destroying the world, she sees it as its saving grace. Through many different programs, we can work to find ways of saving the environment and everything along with it. Across the world, many different populations are being impacted by this change of weather and other environmental issues, not only humans, but many animal populations as well, leaving these groups as the unseen victims.

Salvatore Folisi, the author, is a poet who mainly focuses on more philosophical issues around the world, which questions his authority and credibility towards this kind of topic. In modern society, technology runs our social life. Those (the people) surrounding us seem to be connected to their devices a majority of the time. This kind of disconnect (from people) is a factor found from the social norm of everyone having some sort of social device always handy to them. This (specific technology) same technology contributes to the destruction of our environment around us all, although we don't see any of it. This article shows a main issue of how connected we all are to this technology, while there is a whole world outside that we can explore. Along with this technology, however, comes a large production company behind it creating fumes and other pollutants that are slowly destroying the environment. Many new technologies have been created that could help to slow this issue, if these larger companies choose to use it.

The varying ideas found in the articles found have solidified my view on how much to offer with newer technology that can be used in order to correct what older production methods have created. This research question has a large scope surrounding it. Although I accept this, with good research methods I hope to centralize the issue in a way to decrease its scope. Some may argue that the research topic might not be a real issue, which may be the small amount of people who believe that global warming does not exist. Many others may disagree that it might not just be the technology, which is true, but the technology has created a medium that causes substances, such as fossil fuels, to be converted into carbon, a main contributor towards the destruction of our atmosphere.
