Interlaken, SwitzerlandInterlaken, SwitzerlandBreathe deeply and imagine that you are in the amazing Alps mountains in Switzerland. Pretend that you are on top of Europe in the Jungfrajoch. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Alps mountains, a huge range of mountains that are located in Europe, that are covered by a white snow like a cloud. Or imagine that you are in the middle of Rio De Janiero, one of the most popular tourist cities in the 21st Century; the city that connects the beauty of nature and protects the Brazilian heritage. Visualize that you are attending one of the cultural events that occur daily in De Janeiro. Or imagine that you are talking or attempting to understand a rice farmer in the Philippines who has more than half a century of experience in farming and who is explaining to you some of his job's secrets. Traveling is very important and necessary because it develops the cultural and educational horizons of people and also helps improve people's health.

One of the most important advantages of traveling is cultural. Imagine that you are now with an Egyptian family in the most beautiful days of their lives where they are celebrating their son's wedding. Can you imagine how stunning and amazing it would be to hear Arabic music, taste Egyptian food such as Koshari (a rice with macaroni and fried onions served with tomato-garlic sauce) and Ful medames (cooked beans with onion, garlic, and lemon juice), and enjoy traditional dances. Traveling can intensively educate people about the city or the country that they are visiting because they see new and different things that are different from their homeland. Therefore, things such as a people's language, their way of living, their traditional celebrations, their religions rituals, etc. will definitely stick in the visitors' mind because it is different than their culture and perspective. James Reed is a writer who is passionate about traveling and culture, and wrote an article about some psychological benefits that people can gain from cultural traveling. In Reed's article, "The Psychological benefits of cultural travel," he explains that cultural traveling can increase one's knowledge about the places that they are heading to. Also, the journey could change from how people usually feel when they are in their hometown to having a new psychological mood that reveals people's many different sides (Reed). To understand the genuine meaning behind traveling, people should realize that traveling is not just seeing, enjoying beautiful views of nature, and entertaining; it is much more than this. Traveling allows people to seek the truth behind this unique world. People are different in everything. Even though people are living in the same country, the same city, the same building, and, maybe, they are raised from the same family, they are different. Everyone has things that make him or her unique. From each one in this world, there is or are many things that we can learn and take in order to develop ourself and the world. Because of this, traveling provides us a very special gift that is so rare today; it give us new people to know. New people who might change everything in our lives. We can take the most perfect thing from each person we meet when we travel, such as respect, liberality, honesty, love, serenity, composure, wisdom and even smiling. We can add this value to our life by smiling at each person we see. Meeting new people and having friends who are from different cultures and perspectives is very beneficial because we can learn new things from them. Not only that, but also learning from others' experiences by listening to them critically and sharing with them your own personal experience will enhance your interpersonal skills. As a result, traveling plays an important role in increasing one's social intelligence. Because it permits us to talk and to see various types of people, it helps us develop our speaking and listening skills. Most importantly, traveling adds new, valuable meaning to people's lives. Appreciating and respecting everything we have is what traveling does. In order to be grateful and to thank god for everything you have, you should travel.

There are millions of good things about traveling, but the best part is that it makes people meet new personalities. Talking or even watching a new community through traveling is a very special thing. Rick Steves is a television personality and an author. In his TedTalk, "The Value of Travel", he refers to travel as a very luminous thing. He says "People makes your experience vital"(Steves). Connecting and communicating with new personalities is a very exceptional feature of traveling. The "Is Travel Better Than Chocolate And Wine?" article talks about the effects of travelling upon one's life. Travelling does not represent just entertainment; it provides many values to people and impacts them personally (Patrick, Huether). For instance, travelling can influence the social and medical sides of people. Therefore, traveling is very important.

Traveling can teach people more than what they have learned throughout the years. When my family and I visited Germany about two years ago, we met a Moroccan man who was working in one of the most popular restaurants there. He was so polite and sober; this man shared briefly his journey from Morocco to Germany. He said that when he first came to Germany he did not know how to deal with people there because he could not speak one German word. Also, he did not know anyone there. He was alone. However, now he speaks German fluently and he has many friends who are from various perspectives. Most importantly, he said a sentence that stuck in my mind and I always remember this man's wisdom. He said passionately, "Traveling is the school of the life" because it taught us more than anyone. Traveling increases our learning methods. Education is not just reading, writing, or listening. Education is a learning process which provides information to people's minds and applies this information in their daily lives. That is what traveling does; it gives people lots of new information and forces them to integrate this information together in order to get what they want. Nina Makofsky is an active writer for more than 20 years. She has lots of experience in traveling and she wrote a good article, which is titled "Educational Reasons to Travel". In this article, Nina mentions four major things that people can learn from traveling. One of the effective ways to learn about geography and cartography is through traveling (Makofsky). For instance, I did not expect that I would know where each country of Europe is on the map until I visited more than 10 countries and 30 cities on a road trip. Traveling helped me learn where each country and city were on the map. According to Makofsky's article, Nina also explains that traveling can dramatically improve one's knowledge about the history of country, city, and people at a period of time. That is true because I remembered the history of different places myself in this situation. Whenever am planning to visit a country or a city, that encourages me to read and have a brief look about that country backgrounds and history. Moreover, Being influent in more than one language is very helpful and it is required in most of the world's jobs. Traveling can helps people to improve their languages. For instance, visiting new places and communicating with new people can help people to learn new language or enhance their second/third language (Makofsky). In "Travel to Learn" Ted Talk video, Robin Esrock, is a traveling expert who has many valuable experiences with travel, talks wonderfully about his traveling's journeys. Robin assures that traveling allows him to learn more and to apply what he has learned in his daily life. Traveling is a learning process because it makes us use the information that we have and compile them together to have a good result like the puzzle. After a person visits places and sees things that are out of normal, his/her ability to look to things will going to expand intensively. People will look at things from different angles after they have at least one travel. People must travel not just to entertain their selves but also to educate and enhance their life's experiences.

Studying aboard is one of the most beautiful and enjoyable journey a student can do. Most of the world's countries have scholarships to the most excellent students and students who want to study outside their country. Therefore, parents should provide a good studying environment to their students in order to make them able of talk those scholarships. In the "Study Abroad: A Lifetime of Benefits" article, Amy McMillan which is "a Vice President of Marketing of Institute for the International Education of Students (IES Abroad)" and Gayly Opem which is the "executive vice president of marketing, and recruitment enrollment", shows the tremendous benefits that a student can earn and learn through studying abroad. Traveling abroad provide a responsible and conscious member to societies. It helps the one to improve his/her weak points and challenges his/her self without his family and friends. Studying abroad is one of the best journeys because the student is traveling to a new place. To a world that he/she does not know many things about. Because traveling is the essential part of the studying abroad, studying abroad is a very effective journey to any student. Studying abroad did not influence the students just educationally but also personally and in many other sides (McMillan and Opem). For example, "Nearly 90 percent of students indicated that their experiences abroad had influenced all their subsequent educational experiences."(McMillan and Opem). Being far away of my family and my house was one of my biggest fears. That was such a nightmare to me. I could not imagine living far away from my family for a week. After getting my high school result, I remembered how I was in indecision about where I want to complete my educational journey. The decision was tough to me. I prayed many time to choose the right path. However, after a long thinking and consultations I chose to study in the United Stated. Now, after being in the United States for more than one year, I can proudly say that this was one of the rightest decisions that I have ever made because this allowed me to see new and different side of the world. Meeting new people and identifying a new culture was so interesting and enthusiastic. I did not imagine or even thought that this decision opens millions good things to my life. There are much more to come and to do because the journey does not finish yet. However, there were many challenges that I endured and there are more that I must endure because am doing something that is irregular. Therefore, studying abroad is divided to two parts; traveling and studying. In the "6 Reasons Why Travelling abroad is Important for Young People" article, Hanna Peterson explains the benefits of travelling and she specially recommended the young-aged people to travel because that will impact their character directly, improve their life's skills intensively, and will make them live a new experience uniquely and amazingly.

A majority of the doctors advice their patients to travel and to reach new places and to travel because that can greatly influence their medical conditions positively. In the "Travel is the best medicine, study finds" article, Chris Erskine which is an editor and writer for the New Anglos Times. "The Global Commission on Aging and Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies, in partnership with the U.S. Travel Assn., has released research that shows travel offers the same sort of physical and cognitive benefits as crossword puzzles or museum visits"(Erskine). Travelling decreases stress and enhances the brain's functions, and it reduces the risk of heart diseases (Erskine). The psychological condition of the patient plays a huge role in his/her treatment process. As it known in the health field, that if the patient psychological mood is relaxed and satisfied, this will helps to improve his/her health. Because of this, traveling to beautiful places that are full of nature and beauty can extremely improve the patients' conditions. If we did an experiment between two patients who are suffering from the same disease, and both of them are taking the same medicine from the same doctor. But patient A is traveling to the Denali Mountains in Alaska to recover his health and to breathe fresh Oxygen. While patient B is staying in the same house, seeing the same views with the same people. Which one do you think will recover his health faster? Of course patient A. Many people cured from bad medical conditions after traveling and getting out from their routine lives. In "Why Travel Is Good For Your Health?" article, Julie Loffredi explains that traveling "Recharge Emotionally and Increase Empathy" according to academic studies and educated people.

A minority of people in this world thinks that traveling has more disadvantages than advantages. However, that is not true because travel develop the person internally and externally by providing new and various experiences to them. In "The Bad Side About Traveling They Don't Tell You About" the author explains the reasons that might be reasons to make people feel the post travel depression after returning back to their lives. First, One of the worst thing about traveling is that it forces us to say bye to our friends whom we met in that vacation(R, Pete). In my opinion, that will not make us feel depressed because that friend gave us a hope and a passion to see them again. Also, Pete says that what can really depress or stress a traveler or a person who just came back from a traveling journey is that, he/she are going back to their real life, the life of responsibilities, challenges, and difficulties. But that is not true because after having a vacation, peoples' spirit get relaxed and satisfied which will effectively help them to be more productive in their life. Traveling makes us feel that there will not be better experience or better vacation than the last one we had (R. Pete). Traveling has always encouraged me to travel and to visit new places because there are more beautiful and wonderful things in this world that I have not seen yet. Traveling gives the one more than he/she could ever expect.

All in all, "we travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us". Traveling is the most effective and sophisticated methods to learn about the life's values. Not only improving our self but also discovering new things in our self and in our personalities. It allows us to carry intangible things. Traveling is just astonishing.
