In the past people from all over the world wanted to come to America in hopes of having a better life. However, Americans now do not want to share or grow this belief. Americans are now keeping people, who want to live or have lived in America from having the American dream. These people are immigrants. Immigrants who want to have a life in America as a refugee of their country. They want to have a safe place to raise their children. Immigrants want to provide their families with a future, which some have the right to pursue. Being an American it is disappointing to see my fellow Americans turn away people from a shelter such as America. Anyone, who knows the history behind the founding of America and its origin, can clearly see discrimination of immigrants as somewhat hypocritical. America became the world super power because of its acceptance of immigrants. These immigrants brought new ideas, knowledge, and jobs that helped America grow in stature. The children or growing adults of future America does not want the American Dream to wither for more generations to come.

Daniel Griswold believes that America has prospered because of the flow of immigrants. He says immigration does not account for a large number of immigrants that enter or country every day, and that border patrol is sufficient security. Griswold says the major threats to our country like terrorism does not come from immigrants, but from foreigners that flow into the country. Daniel Griswold is in charge of the Cato Institute's Trade Policy and represents them in his argument. He is man that values the American Dream and wants to welcome immigrants that want to be Americans. Griswold wants immigrants to help grow the American dreams and keep it alive. Being the director of the Center for Trade Policy Studies at Cato Institute, he is an informed individual on the topic of immigration. Since trade has much to do with cooperation of foreigners and immigrants alike to gain more products or services.

The American Dream is for everyone who want to succeed through hard work no matter the ethnicity according to Mrs. Eva Michels. She said that Americans are the descendants of immigrants making the term illegal immigrant out to be a hypocritical word. Mrs. Michels believes everyone has the right of having the American Dream coming to live in America. The site is called the American.day.dreamer.de. This site Mrs. Michels is posting her writing centers on the true meaning of the American Dream. This reason is why Mrs. Michels viable and trustworthy sources are featured in the article. Due to her traditional take on the American Dream she could be a supporter of illegal immigration. Mrs. Michels could have also possibly argued this topic on immigration as well. In her article she mentioned an illegal immigrant fulfilling the American Dream. This may mean Mrs. Michels is against borders between Mexico and America.

Daniel Bennet states that a bill can help restore the American dream by regulating immigration reform. Senator Bennet said that America was the created by immigrants, who wanted a better life filled with hope and freedom. He wants to give immigrants a chance to fulfill their own American Dream and have a better life. The values that Senator Bennet has is a background of his family history. His family's history are those of immigrants, who came to America to escape a Nazi invasion. Senator Bennet wants America to remain a safe undiscriminating shelter for any immigrant to come to. Daniel Bennet is a Democratic Senator, which can be said to why he is for freedom of immigrants. However, being able to create a bill with bi-partisan cooperation is not an easy feat. Therefore, I see this source as a little bias, but good source. Senator Bennet passing a bi-partisan bill in this age where bi-partisanship is highly unlikely has to be a person, who is not all that bias in opinion.

The argument that the American Dream is disappearing with the lack of immigrants is a justifiable argument. People can no longer come and live in America without the fear of discrimination and being ostracized. There has never been a time in America without discrimination but at least the immigrants could still get a job and have the opportunity to earn a living. In modern days and time any immigrant or foreigner living in America is background checked according to one's ethnicity. In my last source written by Daniel Bennet I do not agree that one bill passed by Congress is going to fix the American Dream. All other statements I agree or have not argument against. The different perspectives does not differ to much in terms of what I think is right or wrong. All my sources opinions on immigration seemed to be more factual and common sense. I would be more specific on how I word the term American Dream.
