Is college worth it? A question that has been asked countless times as students and their families consider going. A question asked by college students every morning when they get out of bed. And a question asked by people who have long since graduated and are now looking back on their lives trying to judge how they turned out. All of these people are right to ask this question.

<transition>. College is worth it. All in all a person is bigger and better for college gaining social competence, intellectual <word>, and economic <word>. This is compounded by the boon that a college educated populous provides to a society. And though college is not a prerequisite to a good life it certainly is the best rout there. In conclusion you should go to college.

When going to College the first thing that you get is potentially the most valuable. The Social effects of college greatly enhance your life and your ability to live with others. From developing your social skills and learning to work in teams to learning of and about life before taking the dive proper to becoming a person worthy of <something>.

Learning to coexist with others, on your first day you walk onto campus and the first thing you do is talk with your roommate about how the two of you are going to do things this semester. You walk into your first class and find yourself forming a study group to help pass. One of the most basic and fundamental things learned when going to college is the art of working with others.

College is transition from high school into the wider world, keeping all the protection of being a student while at the same time taking the blinders to the world off. Be it learning to live on your own , to manage your own time or how to budget out what resources you have; you don't get out of college without learning these life lessons.

Looking at a high school graduate and college graduate there is a wide gap in the way that they think and act [citation needed]. College grows character [citation needed] and this is essential moving into the wider world knowing who and what you are and how to act [citation needed]. College like a petri dish allows for the infectus growth of character [citation needed] without the pathogenic effects of the open world [citation needed], bringing about people who are strongly enough themselves upon entering the wider world to avoid being crushed by it [citation needed].

So is college worth it, the exuberant cost of entry is daunting but it is certain that you walk out a better person as a result of it. Without these social skills anyone would be handicapped in life. If you want evidence of this look at all the people who look to higher college graduates regardless of what their degree says[citation needed]. It is worth it to go and walk out with not but the social experiences.

What is it that you go to school to do? Learning is the key to life. Although most people don't hold learning as their goal[citation needed] it is still unavoidable. And it rightly is the goal as it ends up being the most enjoyable [citation needed] useful [citation needed] and marketable [citation needed] thing gained from a college education.

The first classes you take when you get to campus are often the most general ones from english to a fine art or a history class. While this knowledge may not improve your job performance there is nothing like winning that trivia game or understanding events in the world around you in a deeper and more inclusive way. It is these classes that provide a wide base of general knowledge necessary to go out and build a life upon.

This may sound stupid but in college you learn how to learn. When going through high school it is harder to fail than pass [citation needed]. And though some do learn the art of learning most just scrape by, which leads to college where you are told you need to know that and it is now up to you to learn it. It is in this sink or swim environment that many learn how to learn.

Finally people go to college to learn something specific [citation needed]. A trade or knowledge set specific to a job somewhere out in the world or even an academic knowledge set. This is where college students spend the majority of their time and energy [citation needed].

College is about learning. People pay exorbitant bills and work hard to learn and this is beyond all else the area where college is worth the cost because at the end of the day it really is a school.

Though there is no end to the personal victories won in a college education it is also important to bring up all of the ways in with a college educated populous benefits society.

Looking back at the first arguments in this paper for coexistence life and character are still true and great victories in and of themselves. However more important is how much better is it to live with and amongst people of this sort any nation is defined by the people it is made up of and those who have went through and learned how to be good people and fantastic citizens build better nations [citation needed] which in turn make life better for the citizens within.

There is nothing more deadly to society than intellectual stagnation[citation needed]. It is a slow poison that will eat away at the core of a society till like the hollow rotten tree it is reclaimed by the earth. College is an antidote to this by keeping the next generation apprised of everything that has been learned by the former generation they can focus on building upon that knowledge rather than rediscovering it. Which is ultimately what builds a society from nothing into the giants and titans that roam the earth building ever greater wonders.

Though this paper has largely to up to this point avoided a discussion of economic side effects, but how long was that really going to last. It is no secret that college educated individuals make more money [citation needed]. But many do not look beyond this point they also contribute more to a nation's gdp [citation needed]. And people who make more tend to spend more [citation needed], thus further stimulating the economy and driving forward progress and development all of though modern wonders brought up in the former paragraph. And generally this greater economic output leads to a greater standard of living for all.

As mentioned society is immeasurably better for being made up of better people and that is just what college does it makes better people [citation needed].

Finally the section everyone has been dragging on to find, economic opportunity. Well much like every other section and part of life the college graduate dominates here to.

Over the course of a lifetime the college student makes more money [citation needed], need more be said. All things considered college makes money for the majority of those who attend [citation needed]. This translates into more buying power over a lifetime and just a generally more stable financial life outlook.

Now the big thing with college and the source of all of the controversy in the first place [citation needed] loans. If i have to go into debt to attend how is it worth it. Admittedly there are more than a few people who are royally screwed by there loans [citation needed]. But on large most people pay them off in the first decade or so [citation needed] and after that it is all icing. People make more money [citation needed] but also have more stable employment [citation needed] and enjoy their jobs more [citation needed]. This solves first the problem of being miserable while paying off loans, though it certainly is no fun you are likely enjoying life more than the guy in your graduating class who didn't go to college and is now cleaning bathrooms at mcdonald's [citation needed]. Second you will be able to pay them off [citation needed] your stable employment and higher salary mean that you have every opportunity to pay it back so that though no fun it is not a world ending problem [citation needed].

When it comes down to it college grads make more money [citation needed].This translates into a better lifestyle and less stress [citation needed].

One's economic outlook is far stronger after graduating college.

All of that said there are many people who never go to college yet seem to lead the world.

There are a plethora of individuals who have succeeded in a social environment without ever attending college [citation needed]. Such as<person>,<explanation>[citation needed]. And <person>,<explanation>[citation needed]. As well as<person>,<explanation>[citation needed]. Changing the world in there corse.

There are a plethora of individuals who have succeeded in an intellectual environment without ever attending college [citation needed]. Such as<person>,<explanation>[citation needed]. And <person>,<explanation>[citation needed]. As well as<person>,<explanation>[citation needed]. Changing the world in there corse.

There are a plethora of individuals who have succeeded in an economic environment without ever attending college [citation needed]. Such as<person>,<explanation>[citation needed]. And <person>,<explanation>[citation needed]. As well as<person>,<explanation>[citation needed]. Changing the world in there corse.

Now I can read your mind 'these people are the exception not the rule', but don't make up your mind so fast there are more people like this then can I can count [citation needed]. Also there is nothing accidental about the way that they roas to this status [citation needed]. They worked hard and learned and became better.

College however is still worth it there are a couple of points overlooked in the preceding argument.

College also has its long list of prominent successful figures. Such as <person>, <explanation> [citation needed]. And <person>,<explanation>[citation needed]. As well as<person>,<explanation>[citation needed]. But that is not all there are countless others [citation needed]. And look at all the people who are successful but will not be remembered for all time because admit it not everyone will define there generation. Amongst those who do very well but fail to jump the moon the vast majority graduated college [citation needed].

Now though the argument has been made that the success without college is more of a rule than an exception the opposite is closer to the truth. There are just more successful college grads [citation needed]. Couple that with the ratio of successful and unsuccessful in college and high school graduates and you end up seeing the true picture [citation needed]. There is just no way of predicting who will fall into this exception.

Finally let's look at why these people are so successful. What these people have done is duplicate the effects of college in their life [citation needed]. Now the truth is that very few people are in a position to do this [citation needed] as you need to be in the mindset of here to learn and enjoy life without being in a correspondingly aligned environment [citation needed]. Additional you have to overcome the people around you as you tend to resemble your friends and non college grads who associate with college grads are able to duplicate their success more easily [citation needed].

So while a college degree is not a hard and fast prerequisite for a successful and happy life it certainly helps in achieving that end.

At the end of the day you are a better smarter and more financially sound person for attending college. Bringing out the qualities within that will lead to a more enjoyable life and better outlook on the world.

A world that is immeasurably improved by being occupied by the stronger and more capable individuals produced by colleges around the globe. Bringing this back around to to make your life better and better the lives of all those generations who follow.
