In this picture, you can clearly tell that these men are not nice people. If you look in the back right, you can see that it’s the ISIS flag. Little is to know about where these men are walking. What we do know is that the photographer is working for ISIS and that he took this for the purpose of terrorist acts. Most likely this picture was taken just to scare the rest of the world. Or you could conclude that these men are about to attack a group of people. They could of taken it just so people would be scared. This could have been outside of a major city and nobody knew a thing. By looking at color and line, we see that there may be peace inside war and that unity brings strength which show us how we should prepare for what’s to come.

When looking at this picture one can easily conclude that the black was meant to symbolize war. You get a feeling of pure evil just looking at the men in black. The black gives off an evil feeling in this case because of how we look at ISIS. The black also makes you view these people as rough and dark individuals. The reason they all have their faces covered in black as well is to show that they are all one and same. All they want when wearing all the black is to strike fear into the rest of the world. The flag is also shown in this picture and easily spotted because of it being black. When you look at all the black together in this photo you see a bigger picture in it all. You see men all trying to scare people in ways of violence and just in the way they dress to in some cases. Maybe to these men, the black means a more peaceful meaning then how we see it.

Also you can see a dark white color worn by some of the men. This could be done for the sole purpose of a pure way of showing who they are. They white also gives an empty feeling when looking at it. The white in the picture is also representing revolution to them in some cases. If you look closely at the picture you see the soldiers fading away into the fog. The fog makes us thing that there may be more men in the near back of the photo that just might not be showing. It takes away some of the lighting making it somewhat darker than it most likely probably is. This gives a more mysterious feel to the picture which makes us think that there is more than what we really can see in the one small frame. One could think it means for it to show that they won’t be found or that they’re hard to catch. The fog makes a more calming feel to the photo as well with the men slowly fading out.

When you look to the ground you spot the dark orange brown color of the desert. The photographer most likely took the picture so it would be in it so you could get a warmer feeling. You also see the orange on the guns ISIS is holding in their hands. This gives a more rugged feeling to the picture even though orange doesn’t tend to mean that. If you look deeper into the photo, you see how dirty the ground really is and how it has multiple tracks all over it. They could have taken the picture in the part of the desert where the sand is brighter and more of life. Yet they decided to do in where the sand is almost dirt like and in the end gave the picture a rougher tone to it all.

If you look at the men and how they are all in a straight line and parallel to each other you get a different feeling. There’s a more unified feeling of the men all together in that order. The feeling of war and udder destruction comes from the way these men are marching forward. The way they are lined up does mean a sort of unity between all of them. It gives them someone to rely on almost knowing that all of them are together. The way that the left line veers off to the left is to show that there may be many more. You’re left to conclude that they are strong together and high in numbers and mean business.

The way they are standing shows that they are not just any weak men. It gives you a feeling of strength from every single one of them. The way the grip their guns and look forward shows a prideful way for their cause. The one random guy off to left shows that there is one person who may be leading them. That they do have a strong person in charge or that one person can lead them.

In the entirety of this photo, there was a darker feel to it. You get a somewhat evil feeling when looking at it from all the black. A light but yet ominous feeling from the white. A rugged and soft feeling from the orange. When looking at the men you get the full on feeling of strength in numbers and unity. And the way they stay together gives all the emotions to make this photo the way it is to us as the viewer.
