Water pollution is one of the world’s worst forms of pollution because it is the effect the water which is a life source for animals, plants, and people. And it has been an increasing problem over the last few years. The essay “Water Pollution” discussed two important issues, first the effect of water pollution on sea life, and second the type of water pollution. For background, water pollution is the contamination of water bodies (e.g. lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers and groundwater). This form of environmental degradation occurs when pollutants are directly or indirectly released into water bodies without satisfactory treatment to expel unsafe mixes of harmful substances. The main issue created by water pollution is that it kills lifes that depend upon water (e.g. human beings, and fish, etc.).The author of the essay “Water Pollution” focuses in delivers the feeling of the animals that comes from the pollution to the people.

The differences between clean and polluted water are a lot, but one of the most important is the natural view of the living animals and plants under water. As it was shown in photos number one and two, there is a beauty to life under water when it is clean, which creates a perfect living environment for underwater species. Also the bright blue color of the water in the first two photos give a happy feeling to anyone look to the picture also the angle that the photo has taken with is a close up from the left corner to show a few animal and plants with huge space full of pure blue water which gives the psychological comfort to the reader. Then comparing these photos with photos six and seven it is clearly noticeable the differences. The view is awful also the fish are dead. Also, the colors are dark and show sadness on the photos obverse the first two photo, which show happiness. On photo number six the main focus is in the trash because it almost fills out the whole picture but the boy in the left top corner takes a huge attention the photographer tried here to touch the humanity of the people who look to the picture and bring the feeling of sadness to everyone look to the picture. However, the photographer changes his focus here in photo number seven from the boy to animals and take a close up picture of two dead fish is dark black water. And but the focus on the bigger fish with no eye by putting the fish in the center of the picture.

There are so many ways the water gets polluted by; some of them are oil industry, sewage, and waste settlement. First the oil industry, everything about the oil industry—drilling, moving, laying pipeline, shipping—opens up the possibility for water pollution. From rigs that are compromised by foul weather to freight ships that have inadvertent spills, the harm is never purposeful. However, it's still one of the significant threats confronting clean water and marine life. As it shown in photo number four that harmful view of a ship that spilled some oil over the water and caused a huge damage to the water. The photographer took a long shot on this photo to show how the spilled off the oil is spreading out and also to show us the different between the polluted water and the clean water on the top right corner of the photo. The long shot here makes the spectator imagine the huge harm this oil will cause and gives the feeling of repentance.

Second the effect of dumping the sewage water directly into the sea or the ocean destroying the body of the water. At the point when toxic substances enter a body of water, they will be broken up, get to be suspended in water or get saved on the bed of the water body. That issue was shown in photo number five when the sewer pipes are seeping the sewage directly into the water. This close shot was purposed to show how dirty the sewage is and the black color of it. Also to show how the sewage changes the color of the water from blue to dark yellowish-green color. The dark yellowish-green color makes the spectator disgusted. Moreover, the unclean walls behind the pipes and the black pipes give a view how dirty the place is. And the small white bubbles that come out from the water also give the same disgust feeling. These bubbles also are shown in photo number three. The photographer here took a close shot right under the surface of the water to show the bubbles that appeared because of throwing the bottle into the water that to prove the harm of the waste settlement to the water. The purpose of photo number three was only to show the waste settlement and the bubbles under the water, so the photographer took a close up shot that shows a small space of the water to the spectator to make him/her just focus on that. Also putting the unclean bottle in the center which gives a hint that it was thrown a long time ago and prove that it doesn’t break down quickly in the water.

The author of the essay “Water Pollution” wants to show the reader an example of a polluted body of water which is the Yamuna River in India. In photo number six is shown that the garbage is thrown in the river and a boy is standing behind the garbage. The photographer took a medium shot here from the garbage corner to let us focus on the garbage than see a boy behind it. The shot was purposed to let us get that feeling of how sad is what happened to that river. This river caused a lot of death cases for poor people because of drinking from the river. Also, the plant that has been grown with water from the Yamuna River is polluted and not safe to be eaten. That pollution killed almost all the living animals in the river and also caused diseases for both people and birds that drink from the Yamuna River. It is classed the most polluted river in India.

The last photo was added as an advice and conclusion for the essay. The colors that were used on the photo is bright colors to show the happiness in the photo and also the fish is looking for the reader to touch him/her feeling and to tell him/her that the water is the home of the fish and he/ she should be careful about it. Finally, the purpose of the essay was to show people the different between the water before and after the pollution and to advise them that they should care about the water and keep it clean.
