Drawing is an artificial language. Through drawing, people can express themselves in special ways. Any type of emotions or even a story could be seen in a paint. And sometimes, people can understand the same drawing in different ways. For example, the picture at the end of the paper could have different meanings depending on the person’s view.

Looking closely at the painting, the colors were mostly used were pinkish orange, orange, brown, and white. In contrast, the image looks depressing and there is no sign of happiness. It is also kind of old. Through the light and the shadows of the objects in the paint, it is a sunset. From the bottom to the top, there is a computer mouse setting on the sand, that is attached to an electric chainsaw held by a guy cutting a drawing brush that is held by a human hand from the sky.

The background first of all, is mostly consist of sand and a dusty sky, which is again depressing. It has a sense of heat and dryness.

The mouse in the drawing shows a meaning of a control and technology. Thinking about what could a mouse do in a computer, it could give orders such as, opening and closing of pages, getting in and out from websites, and moving things around are all orders controlled using the mouse. On this painting, the way that the electric chainsaw is connected to the mouse refer to how technology controls our life. But on the other hand, these are tools suppose to make life easier and to help us reach new levels of knowledge.

The drawing brushes have a meaning of things made by old generations, valuable things. The hands from the sky holding them show heritage that our grandpas made and created. They could be trees in farms maybe, they could be old houses or castles, or they could even be books. Looking at how most of them were cut, is a theoretical idea of how we take of trees to make more place for living for example, or how we ignore books and lean on new techs and movies.

The guy that cuts the drawing brushes and the hands that hold them refer to that it’s all human who do both things. It’s a human who built a house or wrote a book. And it’s also a human who made those new technologies.

Looking at how many brushes were cut and how there is still more than one hand holding on a brush, show a meaning of contentiousness of both acts. The technology fans are probably greater in number than the old school ones, but still, they both try not to stop.

From the first glance, the man cutting off the brushes caught my eyes. He has a special rare colors of all the painting. He got a colorful shirt, which is purple. That should be a sign of a good thing. The new technology in general is meant to be helpful and to make life easier. But the cutted brushes show the opposite. The cutted brushes looked just like cutted trees sprung from the ground. And the guy is cutting them the same way trees are cut too. Therefore, cutting trees would upset the environment, which is not a good thing.

The main argument of this picture is that technology kills our heritage. By depending and leaning more on technology, we forget our past. It is going to be hard for the new generations to remember our old history. And people are going to be more dependent because we wouldn’t have to learn anymore since the technology could give us answers anytime we want. And the main purpose of the paint is for people awareness. It’s to make people realize that technology is not everything. We must remain techless learning skills. And finally, the image appeal to our emotions in a sad way of course, since it has a sense of cutting our past and our foundation of knowledge.
