The music video is about following our dreams no matter what anyone else says and succeeding. By us succeeding, we can inspire other people around us, and be remembered for it. This song gives recognition to everyday people doing everyday things and how everything they do has an impact on other people. The song begins with The Script singing “Yeah, you can be the greatest. You can be the best, you can be the King Kong banging on you chest.” The Script wants us to know that as long as we try and use our abilities to the fullest, nothing can bring us down. The Script’s message for us is to find a purpose in life and accept the truth. In the song, The Script sings “You can go the distance. You can run the mile. You can walk straight through hell with a smile.” This line tells us that there are going to obstacles along the way, but no matter what, we should not give up. If we apply our self to do anything, it will make it a lot easier and will be worth it. The main repetition in the song is when The Script sings “Standing in the hall of fame (yeah), and the world’s gonna know your name (yeah).” The Script uses these lyrics throughout the song numerous times to show that if we work hard enough, our success will show in the end and we will be remembered.
