Each individual in the world is unique in the way that they choose to express their emotions. Every person has the ability to put on a facade for the world to see, they could be a completely different person on the inside. In order to see the true, more private side of most people, a person must first get to know the individual on a more personal level. This can be done through a life time of friendship, a chat over coffee, or even by looking into the creative works of the individual. In today's fast developing society, the human race is becoming more digitally oriented, and quite often, people chose to express themselves through varying forms of media. In Katie Hill's digital piece, "Fat Suit," she gives her audience a look into the different facades of her persona, in a fun, creative manner that is visually appealing to the reader. Through Hill's placement of her individual images, her choice in activities, and her expression of emotion in each image, Hill is able to show the reader many different sides of her personality so that the reader can more clearly see her personality on many different levels.

When looking at the image, "Fat Suit," a person will first realize that the image is not a single picture, but more of a collection of multiple images. Each version of Hill that is imbedded in the image shares a cohesive location, which allows the image to seem as if it is one unit. When looking more closely at each individual version of Hill within the image, it is easy for the reader to realize that Hill chose to use a strategy in the placement of her images. When analyzing the image, the images of Hill that are more prominent, are the images that dominate her personality. These are the images that seem to pop out at the reader at first glance, such as the image of Hill juggling. These images are also in clear sight, and have direct lighting. The not so prominent emotions of Hill, such as the image of Hill wearing the sumo wrestler fat suit, are the photos that do not directly stand out in the picture, but rather take some searching to find. These are the emotions in her personality that would be hidden from most people, just as the images of Hill are hidden from the light and direct sight of view in the image. These deeper feelings take some work to find, but yet when they are found, they are just as interesting as the more prominent images and emotions of Hill.

Throughout this image, Hill is doing a large range of activities in the attempt to show her readers the different sides to her personality. When looking more closely at the activities that Hill is performing in her piece, one may notice that there are really no two images alike. The reader can see the physical side to Hill, such as in her juggling, tossing a rifle, or doing a cartwheel. When Hill is preforming an activity that requires motion, she has let the readers into the activities that she enjoys. These fun and playful activities reveal an energetic and amused side to Hill's personality. Also in this image, the reader gets the opportunity to see Hill in her resting state. This can be seen through images like the one of Hill laying on the ground, or the image where it seems like Hill is perched, looking at an object that requires a lot of focus. These images allow the reader to see Hill in one specific still moment. They show a more laid back and calm side to her personality that shows that she does not always have to be performing a physical activity in order to be amused. The reader can see that she enjoys taking a second to appreciate the world around her. This is done through the image of her sitting, hanging upside down, and even like before, the image of Hill laying down. These still activities allow Hill to enjoy the motion of the world around her and not just herself.

While viewing this image, at first glance, one will first see the different activities that Hill is choosing to perform. When analyzing this image more closely, one can see that when Hill is doing each activity, she has also accompanied each activity with a physical expression. In the most prominent image of Hill, we see her somewhat peeking into the frame of the image. When analyzing her face more closely the reader can see somewhat of a smirk in Hill's eyes. This tells the reader that she is amused and possibly smiling in a secretive manner because the look makes her seem like she has almost done something wrong and she finds it funny. Next, when looking more closely at the image of Hill juggling, one can see a very stern and focused expression on her face. This tells us that she is deep in thought, trying to focus on the activity she is attempting to accomplish. Finally, we can look at the image of Hill hanging upside down from the railing. In this image Hill has her arms crossed in a way that makes her seem upset or like she is unhappy. These are just a few of the many emotions Hill portrays in her piece, but they are all so very different, which allows the reader to gather a large variety of her emotions just by analyzing her body language.

In Hill's piece, "Fat Suit," she has thrown together a collection of different images of herself to show the reader the many different personalities that she can possess. On the outside, a person would not be able to distinguish so many different sides to Hill, and that is why she chose to represent her personality through a multi-media image. Hill, through the use of strategic image placement, through her choice in activities, and through the expressions she possesses in each image, is able to unwrap her personality in simple pictures without having to directly explain her personality to her audience. She has allowed the viewer to see the fun, energetic side to her personality, but also let the viewer see the calmer, observant and collected side to her personality, with a wide variety of emotions in between. Each person will interpret Hill's image a little differently, much in the way that Hill's personality will be interpreted in a different manor by each new person that she encounters. Every person will see her personality from a different point of view but yet still get a general perspective just by analyzing her image.
