The episode White Bear is a very confusing one from the very beginning putting the viewer first hand as confused as the main character Victoria. Who does not know her name, where she is from, or even why she is in the house. A reviewer on the IMDb named Tyler-and-jack said that the producer Brooker is trying to show people to stop being screen watchers and stop using view finders for everything in our lives.

The way Tyler-and-jack said that society are now view finders ae very interesting. It make one thinks how much a cell phone or anything what a screen captures our lives. Almost every moment now is viewed through technology and not through one's own eyes. Like when it is cold or rainy most people do not go and watch a football game in person because one could be dry and warm from a house watching it on television instead of actually living the moment. It's like society is ok with living an artificial life where one can see what's happening and that's enough. The experience of a lot of things are dying out. Children are used to screens. Most young children today can pick up an I pad or tablet and fluently navigate through them. In the past there was no such thing as a tablet or I Pad so most of a child's life was spent outside and adventuring and using their imaginations. Now they can sit on the couch and play videogames or watch movies on a screen and not actually experience life though actually being somewhere but only being to see it through a screen.

Brooker also shows one that almost everything that one does in their lives are captured by a camera that can be viewed on a screen. Even when people are in houses there is a way that they can be viewed. Whether it be on their home security system or off of a webcam on their computer. Someone is always watching. A lot of people don't realize that someone is always watching and when one is exposed in a moment in which one thought they were in a private place then they feel violated. Being violated in today's society is almost unavoidable with the screens, cameras, and the social media that the society has today. Being alone is impossible because even if nobody is there with you there is still someone always watching you. Every step, breath, and waking moment of one's life is mainly captured and saved on a database and can be viewed by almost anyone with a little will and access to a screen.

White Bear is not only creepy but also highlights things in society today that are very underlying problems that many people do not realize are even there. People think it is normal to experience life from a screen and not getting out there, there is someone always watching, and Brooker does an amazing job highlighting these problems in 2013 and they have only gotten worse.
