Martin Luther King Jr accurately predicted the role that racism and social inequality would play on society's evolution to its present day status. This can be seen when analyzing his "The World House" speech and how accurately it is reflected by Kendrick Lamar's "Alright" music video. What then stands out the most through thorough analysis is widespread social inequality, love for fellow mankind, and the spiritual evolution of society. The speech points out that social inequality is a worldwide issue and that society must resolve it before destroying itself. In addition he states that God is presented by the love shown to others and how this must be accepted. He also goes on to say that when society evolves more technologically than it does spiritually that it will lose the meaning of the value held by human life. All three of these concepts are present in the music video and are shown in current day application to society, as will be thoroughly discussed.

Martin Luther King Jr made it clear that inequality is present throughout the world. This means that, instead of focusing on equality and helping all Americans, we should all be equal no matter where in the world we reside. Kendrick Lamar states he is "looking at the world like where do we go" by which he means he no longer knows how the world will fix itself from its current state of inequality in the music video. The recurring motif of "as long as God got us we gon' be alright" seems to be Kendrick's solution to the problem. Martin Luther King Jr states that God is present through the love that we show to each other and therefore concurs with Kendrick though the statement was made almost half a century prior to Kendrick's song. Martin referred to God as love not because he did not believe in him, but rather due to his desire to have as many people as possible comprehend his messages. This opens up the people from solely Christians to any human being who has ever experienced love. The world still is present with people that suffer from poverty and hunger. Kendrick seems to agree since in his speech at the end he states that the evils of Lucifer, the devil, are all around him. This is especially clear when we realize that Martin Luther King stated that we now currently have the technology to fix world hunger as to make sure that no one ever again will go hungry. He does this in his speech and further goes to state that it is only a lack of global equality that justifies why people go hungry. This would mean that if we were to achieve global equality we would also be eliminating hunger worldwide. This ideology has not yet been implemented and, as will later be discussed, could be the downfall of man if we do not choose between unity and self-destruction. Though Kendrick constantly seems to agree with Martin, it must be noted that they are entirely different people in different time. While Kendrick was raised around gangs in Compton, Martin was raised in the south as a preacher. The sheer difference in personality, time and location means the ideas are powerful enough to transcend people, places, and time itself. As Martin Luther King Jr also noted, the current state of society places more value on war spending than it does education which leaves less people aware of the solution. This proves that if Martin Luther King Jr's ideology was taught it would make the general population aware that they should be more focused on helping their fellow humans, and Kendrick would not have had to make a video about social inequality.

Martin Luther King Jr helped unify all religions under love for their fellow human beings in a very effective manner. He said that no matter the God that they worship, they all are following his will by loving each other instead of fighting and discriminating. The problem shown in the music video of police shooting down Kendrick Lamar when he is flying, which could be symbolic of him feeling good since his is floating and therefore above the police because he has no hate in his heart. The only apparent reason is that he is of another ethnicity since he is not shown committing any crimes. In addition when Kendrick raps "we hate popo" it seems to be not only him and his friends but African American society due to the hate they are shown by them. During Martin's era this would have been represented by the officers that broke up peaceful demonstrations and helped segregate areas. It now can be seen on the news with the people that are wrongfully convicted of crimes and/ or shot. The police are also shown carrying him and his friends in a car with missing wheels which when seen by anyone aware of current social issues, seems unrealistic. This is because society has been plagued by police officers that have shot and killed multiple unarmed people, sometimes teenagers, of African descent. It is an unarguable truth that if the victims were Caucasian they would still be with us. This is definitive proof that if everyone were to follow Martin Luther King Jr's ideology and love each other in the world house regardless of their religious or ethnic differences, this would not be a current issue that is almost constantly on the news. It has, to this point, not been proven that any of the murders committed by police officers that made the news were due to anything but a difference in ethnic background. If instead of being afraid for their lives, as opposed to thinking that they were going to be killed by the now deceased victims, they had loved their fellow man, there would be teenagers who would have been able to live full and happy lives as opposed to having their life cut short by hate. Kendrick could be said to be speaking as a reflection of the entire world during his final part of the music video. This would mean that the hate shown instead of love is a part of humanity self-destructing as predicted by Martin Luther King Jr. As opposed to making our society greater, these events are driving us closer to the end of all society, which would due to the loss of life implied mean the ultimate evil. This is made evident by Kendrick stating "The evils of Lucifer was all around me" and "I didn't want to self-destruct". Since he survives at the end of the music video, even after being shot by the police officer, it implies that there is still hope. We can all still choose to unite regardless of our differences instead of contributing to our own demise.

Kendrick raps "What you want, you a house, you a car? 40 acres and a mule, a piano, a guitar? Anything, see my name is Lucy, I'm your dog M-, you can live at the mall" it is symbolic of Lucifer, whom is the epitome of evil, trying to convince him to treasure physical goods above other sources of happiness. It could even be further pushed to have the US government represent Lucifer trying to make up for a definitive wrongdoing by simply giving the African American population physical goods, even though that will not change the past. If it is true that Lucifer is the opposite of God then it seems that treasuring physical goods is the very opposite of loving. This, of course, is the conclusion came to when you still apply the definition of God previously given by Martin Luther King Jr. He apparently seems to have predicted this would be what society would eventually experience, since during his speech he told the masses that if the soul did not grow as much as technology, (and other such physical goods) that we would find ourselves in a thing based society as now appears to be the case. This is opposed to the society where love and the happiness of all humans is valued leading one to believe that we have made the wrong choice and society as we know it is doomed. Martin Luther King Jr also warned of this by stating that we should not be the society that is known for failing simply due to our refusal to unite. Kendrick gives us hope, as to seem that we still have time to change our fate. He states that "God got us" to diminish all of his problems, showing exactly how powerful God, or (as Martin Luther King Jr would put it for all religions to be able to relate) love is. We can still use our technology, which is even greater than when Martin Luther King Jr was still with us to feed the hungry and clothe the poor. Our fate has yet to be sealed but we must act now and immediately unite as to not lead to the end of society.

After being exposed to thorough analysis it is made clear that Kendrick is not speaking from a point of view where Martin Luther King Jr warned us (self-destruction), but rather urging us to make the correct decision by immediately uniting under God's love which is completely blind and does not discriminate. Kendrick recognizes that Martin Luther King Jr's theory of unity must soon be practiced by modern society. We, therefore, must all choose unity and love for fellow humans as to avoid destruction which Kendrick acknowledges is present. Today, while we still can, is the time to act since we haven't completely destroyed our society yet. It is still to be decided what we choose for our path to be, whether good or bad. Yet it seems that the right thing will be done, because, to quote Kendrick himself, "as long as God got us we gon' be alright."
